i am a big boy now! i can stand up with help, eat solid food and go big boy potty. ++ i can say blah blah blah dadadada. mama and daddy made me take a pic with a hippie that does not like george w. bush. my shirt says, "bush makes me cry". too bad mama and daddy don't know that i am secretly republican like grandpa oscar. i am currently reading ronnie reagan's bio. that nancy is a looker.

teething

nobody told me about this thing they call "teething". i have been drooling like crazy and biting everything that i can put in my mouth. today i tried to eat my sesame street walker/entertainment center. last night i tried to eat my dad's hand. mama's nose was okay for biting, although i found it a bit too pointy. i cannot wait for this to pass. it hurts and i have nothing to show for the pain as of yet.

i caught my mom watching a very trashy show about playboy bunnies living at some crazy mansion with an old dude that wears a robe.... come to think of it daddy watches it too. as i just said, the old dude wears a robe all the time. then it came to me.... so do I! he likes girls... so do I! i like cars and girls.. i have a onesie that says so. life is grand!!!

mama and daddy took me to their bradley method class reunion. all the babies from the class have been born. i was second to last, so i was the smallest one there. i snuck away and ate cake. ssshhh, don't tell!

This week I slept.... ate and went big potty and little potty. I also stuck out my tongue. Oh, and I went to the pediatrician and got weighed. I am now 8 1/2 lbs. This is what my chin looks like...

Mama gave me a bath. I loved it. I acted like I didn't though. It was really fun and cozy! She also cut my fingernails.... and it was most unpleasant. She cut me in fact. I will forgive her in time. Her sister Rebecca cut my nails a couple of weeks ago. She cut me too. Come to think of it daddy tried his hand at it last night and he cut me also. Maybe I will just let them grow out like Howard Hughes. It could save us all a lot of heartache.

Gangs are Bad....

I was watching TV when mama and daddy were sleeping. The people on the news were talking about something called "gangs". They are bad... I think they do bad things. Plus they make funny signs with their hands. Kind of like what I am doing in the picture. I don't ever want to be in a gang.

Samuel Willis Arslanian... a Love Story

It all started when my parents Sarah and Aram got married last April 23, 2006. How they love each other! They tell me that I came from love and that love is what makes the world a better place. Mama started feeling funny a couple of months after they got married. She thought maybe she could be pregnant (with me!). She went to the Doctor and they confirmed that I was growing inside of her. This is what I looked like at 5 weeks:

Mama and I got really hungry after a while... We really enjoyed egg salad sandwiches.... That was our favorite. Then mama got too hungry and had to go on a special diet because she got something called gestational diabetes. Daddy was a great help and also went on the diet.

Mama and Daddy had some fun too.... they went to the beach..... and I did too! Too bad I could not see anything.

After 37 weeks of mama being pregnant it was time for me to come out. Mama got reaaaalllly itchy on her hands and feet and legs. She just thought that she was supposed to be that way. Itchy. Her doctor said that mama had something called Cholestasis and that I better come out right away. So I did!

I was 7 lbs 13 oz.... and 20 inches long. Born at 6:21 p.m. on January 30, 2007.
