Mama gave me a bath. I loved it. I acted like I didn't though. It was really fun and cozy! She also cut my fingernails.... and it was most unpleasant. She cut me in fact. I will forgive her in time. Her sister Rebecca cut my nails a couple of weeks ago. She cut me too. Come to think of it daddy tried his hand at it last night and he cut me also. Maybe I will just let them grow out like Howard Hughes. It could save us all a lot of heartache.

I still feel awful about cutting off your fingertip. However, my guilt is somewhat assuaged by the fact that your mom and dad have now done the same thing.

Hey there Baby Samuel-
Have your parents try biting your nails off. It will tear the nail but should leave no "cuts". I can't wait to meet you. I am so excited I can write to you and see how you are growing.
