I was watching TV when mama and daddy were sleeping. The people on the news were talking about something called "gangs". They are bad... I think they do bad things. Plus they make funny signs with their hands. Kind of like what I am doing in the picture. I don't ever want to be in a gang.

Hi, Samuel Willis! My name is Deren Finks and I know someone who was in a gang. You're right, gangs are bad. They use these things called "drugs". Drugs make you feel good and forget your problems. Don't use them.

Dear Samuel Willis. Your grandfather Willis was in a gang. They were known as the "MANOS" - not as in hands (Spanish) but MANO for Rick RoMANO, a punk mobster in a B movie from the late 40's. Willis was COLMANO, his friends were WEBMANO, KIRKMANO, HATCHMANO, etc. It was a good gang and didn't do bad things. Love, Grandpa Willis
